Olentangy OAA Coltsfoot
3-12-2020
Dam: Olentangy Lance Cadmio
Sire: Olentangy Andretti Accolade
LA 2021: 86 VEV
Colt was chosen for the ADGA Young Sire Development program. The few daughters we got from him this year are beautiful. He seems to add width and bone and is able to correct front ends. We are using him more heavily this year.
Kara-Kahl American Pie
7-04-2022
Dam: Kara-Kahl Handy Annie
Sire: Kara-Kahl Akimoto
We didn't really need any more bucks in our lineup, but when the opportunity for part ownership in Pie came up, we couldn't resist his stellar pedigree. He was born late, so we weren't able to use him until January, but both are very exciting breedings! Looking forward to using him more extensively next fall.
Olentangy Image Traveler's Joy
2-12-2022
Dam: Olentangy Speeding Telemetry
Sire: Milar-Farm Royal Image
Traveler is one of our junior herd sires with an exciting pedigree.
Tempo Aquila Buckwheat
3-23-2020
Dam: GCH Tempo Aquila Plain and Brown
Sire: Tempo Aquila Rossini
LA 2021: 87 VVV
Buckwheat was chosen for the ADGA Young Sire Developmant program. His kids have turned out really well so far. I especially love the rears that I see in his daughters. Excited to have him in our breeding program.
Kickapoo-Valley Sinful Jimson
3-03-2017
Dam: CH Kickapoo-Valley Life Charisma
Sire: PJ-Bailey's Charming Assassin
We were very excited at the chance to add Jimson to our sire lineup last fall. He has an excellent pedigree, and his dam milked 16 lbs. a day the spring we bought him. He won Grand and Reserve in rings 1 and 2 of the Memorial Day in 2019. His 2018 daughters have good size and strength of bone, and have done well for themselves in the show ring. We loved the udders they freshened with this year, and have retained several of the best.
Sweet Flowers Farm
Amy's Pride Prime Redbud
3-24-2017
Dam: Amy's Pride AR Reason
SIre: Hoanbu X-Rated Prime
We bought Redbud primarily to correct front ends, but he should also be good for udders and production. He has both X-Rated and Rhett in his pedigree, so there are some interesting opportunities for line breeding on those bucks with Spike (Rhett) and Willie and Hawthorne (X-Rated) daughters. Redbud went Reserve Grand behind Jimson in ring 1 of the 2018 NCDGBA Spring Fling. His first two daughters to freshen have nice udders, so we are excited to see how the rest of them freshen this spring.
Olentangy Handcrafted Tuckahoe
3-22-2020
Dam: Olentangy Accolade Teeple
Sire: Tempo Aquila Mastercraftsman
LA 2021: 85 +EV
Tucker is a big boy! His daughters are the biggest ones in the pen, and we are happy so far with how they are freshening. While his front end is not quite as correct as the other two bucks, it is wide with a nice brisket.
Iron-Rod STB Spikenard
3-10-2016
Dam: Iron-Rod Strength Silkenese
Sire: Iron-Rod Rhett Staubach
Spike is a stylish buck with a spunky attitude. His dam has an excellent udder, and his sire produced many fine does, including the 2014 Alpine National Champion, Iron-Rod STB Shelby. So far he is doing a good job of adding body to his kids and correcting front legs.
CH Bearly Rhythm Hawthorne
4-2-2013
Dam: Bearly Anaehoomalu Giuliana
Sire: GCH Redwood Hills Tribute Rhythm
LA2015: 88VEE
Hawthorne is a buck we leased to help Spike get all the does covered last fall. Hawthorne finished his championship at the NCDGBA Spring Fling May 2016, going BOB in two rings and Best Buck in Show in ring 2. Many thanks to Heather Moscrip of Bagg End dairy goats for letting us lease him! If you want to see what he looks like cleaned up for show, you can check out her facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/BaggLadies/. We are very happy with the daughters we got from him, and look forward to seeing them continue to mature
Sweet Flowers Living Sumac
3-15-2022
Dam: Sweet Flowers Busy Lizzy
Sire: Tempo Aquila Livingston
We were super excited to get Lizzy AI bred to Livingston last year, and then of course she had two bucklings! Sumac is very eye catching, though, and we have used him more than I expected to for a home bred buck.
Delta- Rho Spart's Sweetwilliam
3-26-2013
Dam: Delta-Rho Mylee's Midland
Sire: Redwood Hills XRated Spartacus
LA 2016: 89 VEV; E in rear legs, back, and rump and 50 in stature
LA 2017: 88 VVE; E in back and rump, 50 in stature and 40 in rump width
Willie was our herd sire for several years, and we have been very pleased with his daughters. His dam finished as a 2 y/o first freshener and was part of the first place Alpine get-of-sire at the 2011 Nationals, as well as placing 13th in her own class there. Willie went to his first show in 2017 and went Grand in both rings as well as Best in Show in ring 1. Also, his maternal half-sister was the the 1st place milking yearling at the 2017 Nationals.
La Paysanne BAA Kudzu
5-10-18
Dam: La Paysanne Angelica Skylar
Sire: Bearly Arromanches Amundsen
Kudzu was an impromptu addition to the herd in 2018, and we are very glad to have him! His dam is a beautiful first freshener from an excellent doe line, and his sire combines the excellent genetics of the Bearly and Missdee's herds. Kudzu has an excellent rear and should improve production while maintaining (or improving!) beautiful udders.
